Uke Can Do It

We are tickled to share that the Tehama County Library is hosting a program this summer to help kids learn how to play the ukulele! They received a grant for the program and just got 70 ukuleles in stock. Kids can check out the ukuleles (with instructional materials), have lunch at the library, win prizes for reading and participating in activities, strum along to movies and more. We are happy to say that we will be helping with the program by offering free live instructional sessions and helping maintain and tune the ukes for the library. This is going to be epic fun. This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
