Uke with PSP

Kukana's Uke Klub had a very special day out with a very special Klub member. I'm sure many of you read the title thinking PSP was referring to Sony's PlayStation Portable game console. In this case, we are referring to a very rare degenerative brain disease known as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), which affects the nervous system and impairs movement and balance. Kukana's sister, Glenda, was diagnosed with PSP almost three years ago. She is a retired nurse, a cancer survivor, a pianist, a cellist, a vegetarian (a lover of all the precious animals in the world), and a beloved mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. We had the pleasure of spending a day by the sea with Glenda. Although it may be difficult for her to communicate, her mind is still sharp as a tack and her humor and beauty still shine through.
